Psalm 119:108 “Accept, O lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.”
Worship had always seemed a cut and dried subject until I really started to delve into what it was. Study revealed some new aspects of worship to me, but for the most part I already knew the fundamentals. What I learned that was unexpected was the emotions involved. It’s a little hard to truly worship the Creator of All and not be overwhelmed with the significance of who God is. Worship is becoming more than just singing praise songs, it’s becoming more aware of how wonderful He is and how unworthy I am. Deeper worship has inspired a deeper hunger for God’s Word that isn’t quenched just by being in church on Sunday. I find myself challenged to read more of the Bible, finding solace in its pages. I’m no longer content to just be a worshiper on Sunday morning, I need and I desire to worship during the week. Getting to worship with other worshipers is just icing on the cake.
