Focus

Psalm 95:1,2 “ Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”

You read the real estate ads that say: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Maybe the watchword of the Christian needs to be FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS! For such a short word, it can become the stumbling block between being able to worship or merely being an observer of worship. Sunday mornings must be a blast for Satan. It begins when you oversleep and then try to rush reluctant arguing children into the car, and just when you’ve almost reached the church you remember that you were the one that was supposed to bring the refreshments for the class! As you sprint the 50 yard dash to your chair you try to change gears to begin worship. Try to prepare the physical things the night before, and if all else fails, laugh at Satan and defy the odds. There are always unforeseen things that will happen to interfere with our focus; but, many times the things that trip us up are of our own negligence and we should take the blame, not Satan. Come prepared to be a focused worshiper, you’ll be amazed at the difference.
